XPENG respects your privacy and is committed complying with its legal obligations including those set out in the Privacy Act 2020.

  •  details about your vehicle purchase and servicing such as purchase date, purchase details, vehicle registration, name of selling dealer, service history and repair, warranty and recall details;

  • information you give us about yourself, for instance when you contact our customer service centre, login to or access our website, or call our roadside assistance;
  • details in identity documents you give us, such as your passport number and driver’s licence number; and
  • payment details including bank account, credit card details and other payment information if you buy products and services from us.


How do we collect and store your personal information?

We may collect your personal information from you directly or from authorised XPENG dealers who have collected information from you. We may collect personal information about you:

  • when you contact us by email, phone, in person, by SMS or other forms of communication, including our website or our social media platforms;
  • when you fill in order forms for a vehicle, parts or accessories, or book your vehicle for servicing;
  • when you contact us about any of our products and services when you take part in promotions, competitions, customer surveys, and sponsorships; or
  • from our service providers (such as Roadside Assistance).

We may collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for the following reasons:

  • answering your inquiries or comments;
  • customer service:
  • meeting our obligations to you (including warranty, recall, and roadside assistance) as the owner or driver of a vehicle;

  • to authorised XPENG dealers, on the basis that they only use it in connection with XPENG products and services for the same purposes as set out above;
  • anyone else you agree to us disclosing information to from time to time; and
  • any disclosure which is required or authorised by law.


Your personal information may be provided to our parent company in China, and other related XPENG group companies and our service providers that are located or hold data elsewhere in the world. Any disclose your personal information to an overseas recipient is subject to us taking reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipient will treat your personal information in accordance with our instructions and in a way that is consistent with the Privacy Act 2020 and or where we reasonably believe the recipient is subject to laws that protect your personal information in the same or substantially the same way as Privacy Act 2020.
We seek to ensure security safeguards are in place to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorised access, use modification and disclosure and other misuse. We store your personal information in secure electronic files.
If your personal information is subject to a notifiable privacy breach as defined in the Privacy Act 2020 (the Act), we notify you and the Privacy Commissioner in accordance with our obligations under the Act.

Marketing use
In circumstances where we believe you would reasonably expect that your personal information may be used or disclosed for marketing purposes or where we have obtained your express consent to do, so we may contact you with marketing material about our products or services or those of our related entities, special offers, promotions and events that we believe may be of interest to you.
