XPENG at AI for Good Global Summit

Exploring Trusted Future Mobility through Physical AI

As a mobility explorer in the Physical AI era, XPENG joined a global platform that brought together more than 11,000 participants from governments, regulatory bodies, international organisations, academia, industry and the technology sector.

This was not only an opportunity to demonstrate our technology. It was also an important moment for XPENG to communicate how intelligent mobility can be developed and deployed in a way that is safe, inclusive, responsible and trusted.

From Guangzhou to Geneva, and Further into the World

XPENG brought more than products to Geneva. We brought our understanding of Physical AI, responsible innovation and future mobility.

As global AI governance, industry collaboration and public trust continue to evolve, XPENG is taking part in a broader conversation: how can a technology company from China contribute responsibly to global dialogue, and how can intelligent technologies support safer, more efficient and more inclusive mobility?

Geneva is a starting point. Looking ahead, XPENG will continue to build stronger connections across technology, industry, regulation and society, using products to demonstrate capability, practice to build trust, and open dialogue to support the responsible development of Physical AI in global markets.

Joining a Global Flagship Platform for AI Governance and Collaboration

AI for Good is a global initiative focused on ensuring that artificial intelligence is developed and applied in ways that serve people and support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The AI for Good Global Summit, led by the International Telecommunication Union in partnership with more than 50 UN agencies and co-convened with Switzerland, is one of the most important AI platforms within the UN system. Since 2017, it has gathered global technology leaders, policymakers, researchers, industry representatives and civil society organisations to discuss AI ethics, governance, standards and real-world applications.

At this year's summit, XPENG presented its physical AI ecosystem portfolio, featuring the IRON humanoid robot, the Land Aircraft Carrier modular flying car, and AI-defined vehicle P7+. The exhibition attracted interest from representatives across international organisations, diplomatic circles, research institutions and the AI governance community, who showed strong attention to XPENG’s Physical AI technologies and global market development.

Communicating XPENG's Perspective on Responsible Innovation

This year also marked the first AXM Congress, or AI X Mobility Congress, at the AI for Good Global Summit. Mobility is one of the most promising real-world application areas for AI, with the potential to create social value through safer, more efficient and more sustainable transportation.

As part of the AXM programme, XPENG colleague Tianqi Li joined the panel "Safety, Ethics, Infrastructure, and the Road to Public Trust". The discussion focused on some of the most important questions facing AI-enabled mobility today, including:

  • the role of policy and regulation in the safe deployment of AI mobility systems;

  • how industry can build public trust in autonomous mobility;

  • the priorities needed to accelerate safe and trusted deployment;

Drawing on XPENG's practice in user-oriented human-machine interface (HMI) design, safety management system, local testing&engineering, and engagement with international vehicle technical regulation discussions, Tianqi shared a key perspective:

For Physical AI to be deployed responsibly, the real trust challenge is not only how powerful the algorithm is, but whether the full product lifecycle is governed by risk management, safety assurance and continuous improvement.

XPENG's position is that intelligent mobility systems must be not only advanced, but also verifiable, governable and continuously improved. Public trust cannot be built by one company alone. It requires collaboration across the whole ecosystem, including regulators, standards bodies, industry partners and society.

XPENG colleague Sven De Smet was also invited to the panel "Mobility for Good: Equity, Safety & Global Impact". He was interviewed by the event organiser and highlighted our vision of Physical AI.

Building a "Trust by Proof" Narrative

As AI becomes a transformative technology, global discussion is increasingly moving beyond capability demonstrations toward safety, ethics, governance and social value. Leading technology companies are using platforms such as the AI for Good Global Summit to explain not only what their AI can do, but also how it is governed and how it contributes to people and society.

For XPENG, participation in this summit was an important step in entering the global AI public conversation. It allowed us to communicate XPENG not only as a smart EV company, but also as a technology company exploring Physical AI.

It also helped us further develop a "Trust by Proof" approach:

technology demonstrated through real products and impact;

safety supported through design, development, testing and validation, and life-cycle process;

responsibility shown through compliance and governance;

credibility built through open dialogue with global stakeholders.

This participation was led by the International Public Affairs team under the Strategy and Business Development Centre, together with the IDS Brand & Marketing Europe Region team, with support from the IDS Central Europe Region business and International New Media teams. The preparation covered exhibition planning, panel participation, communication, and coordination. The event's successful delivery relied on the close and efficient collaboration of all teams involved.

During the preparation process, the team also secured additional exposure opportunities, which reflected the organiser's interest in XPENG's role in intelligent mobility, global impact and responsible innovation.

This experience has also provided XPENG with valuable insights for its subsequent participation in international AI governance and public conversation related to mobility and AI.
