Towhook proactive service campaign

At XPENG, reliability of our product and customer satisfaction are our highest priorities.

Following customer feedback and our own technical investigations, an potential issue has been identified with the tow bar to a limited amount of G6 and G9 vehicles.

Therefore, we will launch a proactive service campaign once updated components become available after the summer.

Until then, we strongly recommend not using the tow bar.

If exceptional circumstances mean you need to use it, please carefully follow the below temporary towing guidance.

Technical Parameters

The vehicle's towing capacity depends on its specifications, load, road conditions, and trailer characteristics. To ensure safe driving, please avoid speeding or overloading. Refer to the table below for detailed parameters.

Rear Luggage Load Capacity

1. If the center of gravity is less than 30 cm from the center of the tow ball, the total weight of the luggage and carrier must not exceed 75 kg.

2. If the center of gravity is less than 60 cm from the center of the tow ball, the total weight of the luggage and carrier must not exceed 35 kg.

3. If the center of gravity is 60 cm - 70 cm from the center of the tow ball, the total weight of the luggage and carrier must not exceed 10 kg.

4. If the center of gravity is greater than 70 cm from the center of the tow ball, the use of a tow bar for luggage and carriers is strictly prohibited.
